11th European Symposium on Plant Lipids
Dear Colleagues,
We would like to cordially invite you to the 11th European Symposium on Plant Lipids (ESPL 2025) in Bonn, Germany, from 6-9 July 2025. The European Symposium on Plant Lipids (ESPL) is an international conference with a focus on lipid synthesis, function and biotechnology in plants and algae.
The ESPL conferences are organized every two years and help to connect scientists within a global network. Expert scientists including postdocs and Ph.D. students from all over the world will gather to present their most recent results on lipid biochemistry and enzymology, function in cellular and physiological processes, and application of lipids in biotechnology.
Bonn is an international city with a research-oriented university, harboring the German UN campus with a focus on sustainability. It can easily be reached by train from Western Europe (Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, via Cologne). The airports of Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn and Frankfurt are well connected with Bonn via train and bus transfer. Bonn is localized on the river Rhine, with numerous museums, and it is the birth place of Ludwig van Beethoven. The conference will be held in the Gustav Stresemann Institute, a conference center in the south of the city of Bonn.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Peter Dörmann, Institute of Molecular Physiology and Biotechnology of Plants, University of Bonn
