Presentations will be in English and should be prepared using Microsoft PowerPoint (*.pptx) in 16:9 landscape format. Please make sure that your presentation - including movies and fonts - will run correctly on a Windows PC. Presentations should be provided on a USB drive (memory stick) for uploading on the conference computer. Choose a file name beginning with session number, followed by the allocated presentation time and your last name (e.g. “S1_14:15_DOE.pptx”). Please contact a media staff member in the conference room to upload your presentation – either in the morning before the programme starts (1st day speakers) or at the beginning of the poster sessions and coffee breaks before (2nd and 3rd day speakers). At the latest in the break preceding the session for your lecture.
Speaker should get and set up a headset microphone ahead of their talk to allow a smooth transition between speakers. For microphone set up visit the back of the lecture hall.
To minimize disruption we do not allow the use of personal laptops for presentations. If you must use e.g. your Mac-Book remember to bring your own adaptor. The projector requires a HDMI connection.
We encourage you to present unpublished data. If you prefer that your results are not shared on social media indicate so on your first slide. Presentations will be deleted at the end of the ESPL.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTERS
Post flash talks
In the morning of the first meeting day (07 July, 09:40h – 10:25h) each poster presenter will have the chance to present a 1 slide/ 60 sec summary ”teaser” of the poster for the entire audience in the lecture hall.
In preparation for these flash talks, we request that you send us a one-page-powerpoint-file that brings your work into the spotlight and highlights the broader picture of your research. From the collected one-page-powerpoint-files we will create a coherent presentation for the flash talk session.
These one-page-powerpoint-files can be submitted on the abstract submission page.
The deadline for submission is Thursday 3 July.
The slide must be in 16:9 landscape format. This is particulary important since all poste will be combined in one file.
The slide should contain your poster number in the upper left corner. This will help excited colleagues to find you during poster sessions.
Choose a file name beginning with the poster number followed by your last name (e.g. “POST-45_Chang.pptx”).
Printed posters
Posters can be mounted from Sunday 6 July 15:00h and should be installed by Monday 7 July 10:25h, the first coffee break.
Posters must be prepared in English.
Each author will be provided one poster board. The available poster boards are 120 cm (width) x 145 cm (length). The preferred format is A0 portrait (84,1 cm width/ 118,9 cm length; 33.1 inch width/46.8 inch length). Landscape format may not fit nicely.
The posters and poster boards will be numbered (POST##). So please be sure to place your poster on the board with your number communicated or listed in the program.
Poster sessions are held in the afternoons of Monday 07 July (Odd numbers) and Tuesday 08 July (Even numbers).
Presenting authors are kindly asked to be present at their poster during the poster session.
Posters must be removed after the last coffee break on Wednesday 09 July.
